Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains what cookies lievitofresco.com uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind at any time. It expands on the cookie sections of our Privacy Policy.

What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things between pages and visits. Similar technologies — local storage, for example — do the same job and are covered by this policy too.

Your Choice

The first time you visit, a banner asks how you would like non-essential cookies handled. You can Accept all, choose Non-personalized ads only, or Manage the categories individually. Your choice is remembered and applies until you change it.

We use Google Consent Mode, which means your decision is passed to Google's tags directly — declining is not merely cosmetic. If you decline advertising cookies you still see the same number of ads; they are simply chosen from the content of the page you are reading rather than your browsing history.

To change your choice later, reopen the cookie settings from the link in the site footer, or clear this site's cookies in your browser to be asked again.

Necessary Cookies

These make the Site work and cannot be switched off. They set no advertising or analytics identifiers and are not shared with third parties.

Analytics Cookies — optional

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which recipes people read, how they arrived, and where pages could work better. It records pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and traffic source.

IP anonymisation is on, so your full IP address is never stored. Data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. We look at these figures in aggregate — they are not used to identify individual visitors.

If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics identifier is created.

Advertising Cookies — optional

The Site is free to read and supported by ads served through Google AdSense. With your consent, advertising cookies are used to select ads relevant to your interests, measure whether an ad worked, and limit how often the same ad is repeated.

If you decline, ads become non-personalized: they are chosen from the content of the page rather than from your browsing history, and no advertising profile is built from your visit.

You can review and change your Google ad settings at any time at myadcenter.google.com.

Things We Store Without Cookies

A few features keep data in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else:

Clearing your browser storage for this site removes them, which also means saved recipes do not follow you to another device or browser.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Independently of our banner, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking all cookies will stop the Site remembering your consent choice, so the banner will reappear on each visit. Necessary cookies aside, nothing on the Site breaks if you decline.

You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block analytics across all sites.

Changes and Contact

If we add or remove a cookie-setting service, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions about cookies or your data can go to hello@lievitofresco.com.
